Prairie View A&M University has a variety of phenomenal programs. They encourage students and support them every step of the way. The only con to this university is the inability to provide quality financial aid.

Degree: Counseling
Graduation Year: 2015

You get out of a school as much as you put into it. Just like a job or career. Just like many other school you will have some slackers or lazy dropouts. PVAMU is a smaller campus which means better teaching and learning abilities. You are not just a number in the classroom and expanded learning opportinities are available. When searching for a college you need to look at what your goals are in life and how that college will work for that goal along with your characteristics and best educational environment. It can be a science to selecting the best school for your degree. Before you decide look at how many executives, business owners, PH'd alumni and successful employees that are happy with their careers and motivated come from the school you are considering. The Counseling Program is very personal I know mostly all the professors and classmate. We are truly family orients and work together to reach our career goals.

Degree: Special Education
Graduation Year: 2014

The pros to this school is the have online classes that you can take from whatever state you are in. The teachers are very nice. The teachers try to work with you. They need all the people they can get in their program. Campus living is one of the best. Cons are not enough grants, some teachers are disorganized (Not all just one that I have to keep taking consistently) The campus living is expensive and if you have broken furniture will not come fix it or give you another one. However the way the rooms are set up its nice. 2013-2014 is the only problem I had with my broken couch. Not enough grants for grad students. Your first year you can receive one after that you are on your own.

Degree: Business
Graduation Year: 2017

I am beginning the graduate program in August 2014; however, I have attended this school for my Bachelor's degree. Therefore, I had to take a poll from present grad students. I am thoroughly impressed with the quality of education at this University and the feedback that was received by the students.

The graduate accounting program at Prairie View AM prepares for the CPA exam, classes are in the evenings and on Saturdays, that makes it easy for students to attend. Instructors are very qualified and helpful.
