Regent University was an excellent school to pursue my M.Ed. The partnership with NILD enabled me to obtain a specific degree that I utilize in Europe to provide individualized instruction to students diagnosed with learning difficulties. Students from around the world have received the necessary educational support to become lifelong learners. I am thankful for the relevant online programs offered through Regent University that help individuals like myself pursue dreams.

Regent University is an exceptional example of an institution with a Christ-focused education as well as a holistic curriculum. Although I am only one semester into my education, I am confident that the Lord led me to this university. I am currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Counseling (on the Clinical Mental Health track with a School Counseling certificate) within the School of Psychology and Counseling. Regent's counseling program is CACREP-accredited, which means that students receive the same knowledge foundation as a non-Christian university; however, Regent ensures that students understand this information in light of the Christian worldview. My goal is to be an exceptional counselor and to use the gifts that God has given me to help many. Regent has a grade-A staff who are dedicated to providing support and assistance to the students in their programs, which I have experienced personally. In the few classes that I have taken, the teachers are available and prepared to work with students on their goals. Every student is assigned a faculty mentor, who can aid the student in overcoming barriers and building networks. Additionally, the teacher-to-student ratio in the School of Psychology and Counseling is among the best in the United States for private universities. I would recommend Regent to anyone who is considering an education that well exceeds the dollars spent.

Degree: ESL
Graduation Year: 2016

Regent University is an excellent university with faculty who are the leaders and innovators in their fields. They have come from some of the most prestigious universities in the country and around the world. Instruction is research and data driven as well as faith based. The TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) degree is focuses on the latest theories and with supportive research on best practices in teaching phonetics, syntax, morphology and phonology as well as teaching methods and strategies. There is a thorough coverage of the history of language, reading and writing and how they interact to develop the full spectrum of communication. There is a healthy respect for the culture of other people and an insistence for students to become global citizens who are culturally aware, linguistically diverse and appreciative of multicultural education. The courses are very comprehensive, feature a plethora of resources and are extremely informative and enlightening. While classes are comprehensive, they are not so overwhelming they you cannot manage the material or your time. There is an excellent balance between pertinent information and summative assessments. I love this school.

Regent's online degree program provides the best value for the quality of education. You can expect to be held to national standards, and compete with peers and senior scholars alike. Despite the distance, the effective and efficient use of technology promotes a sense of closeness between cohort members. This also contributes to the excellent level of classroom-based education and sense of connection with faculty. As a local student, I am able to live within my means. There are adequate financial aid opportunities available for every student, including benefits to the military community.

Degree: Liberal Studies
Graduation Year: 2018

Regent University is a profitable and supportive school in reference to staff, faculty, and available resources. The con would be the entire degree is online so therefore, I am losing a significant amount of my military benefit income, which is how a scholarship would help.
