Degree: School Counseling
Graduation Year: 2016

UWG has one of the only grad programs available in the area for School Counseling, so it's worth it to go just for that, but I don't feel that they place much value on the problems facing today's counselors. I have been in the counseling field for seven years and I can safely say that very little of what I learned at UWG, I actually use in my daily life.

Degree: Computer Science
Graduation Year: 2017

The Online MS in Applied Computer Science is one of the best in the nation and provides reasonable access to a competitive and value added program for an affordable cost. The location of the campus relative to Atlanta, GA provides it an extremely competitive edge against other institutions of higher education because its rural nature provides lower costs of living, but it's access to the metropolitan area provides easy access into competitive careers, entry-level and beyond.

I'm truly excited about this school. I am grateful for all the guidance they have given me so far. It is a wonderful campus, great facilities, friendly staff. I don't have any cons yet and I hope not to have any.

Degree: Communications (Speech Pathology)
Graduation Year: 2017

The Speech-Language Pathology graduate program is very competitive! My only con would be financial aid. There are only very few scholarships available for our majors and we have to pay out of pocket for our education. I would be nice to have more financial aid awards and scholarships available to us. While in school, no one wants to have that unwanted financial stress that will only affect your academic performance.

Degree: Computer Science
Graduation Year: 2017

I think the pros of my graduate program are that the teachers care about teaching and the education students are getting even though the courses are 100% online. It is a competitive and academically challenging program that is guaranteed to help in the work field. So far, I have not experienced any cons for my graduate program.

Degree: School Counseling
Graduation Year: 2015

The School Counseling Program at West Georgia is good overall. One of the pros is that it is CACREP accredited which is essential in obtaining certification to become a school counselor. The con for me personally is the commute. Not only do you have a long commute to school but once you are placed for your internship, there is a good chance that you will have a long commute there as well. Other than that the quality of education for the program is excellent.

The cons of my program is that it does not include university recreation as much as I think it should.

Degree: Educational Leadership
Graduation Year: 2014

The program was challenging, but I truly learned the skills necessary to be successful in my current position. The all day Saturday classes can be considered a con for some, but it was what I needed for my schedule. The program could do some refining of the projects so that they are actually more individualized for the student's needs.
