"The professors are very supportive and helpful. They truly care and want you to succeed and to do well. Chico is a nice small community where everyone is like family. Since it is small our school does not have the latest and greatest technology for clinic."

"I moved form Southern California to attend Chico State's School of Social Work and I am glad I did. It has been a fantastic experience with a great group of faculty and students alike."

"They have moved away from the "party school" reputation from the 80s. Education is average in comparison to my prior out-of-state institution. Very little diversity presented at this school with a lot of stuck up people. Plus, you have rural, surrounding areas that are backwards and attend this school. University kowtows to Greek organizations, unless they are dying. No meritocracy here, it is about who you know, not what you can do/have done. Not too many jobs here either with a lot of homeless people near downtown, near the school and crazies preach on the campus. I am very disappointed in my three semesters here and do not wish to further my education after getting a teaching credential(s) here. I would not recommend this school to people who I can relate with for the reasons given."

"Though there is support from faculty and staff, the rigor of the program can be, at times, disappointing. Your education is what you make it here. However, the campus is beautiful and staff generally appear to care about the progress students make. I think the lack in rigor stems from a fairly "young" program."

"I appreciate the supportive staff I've had so far. The hands on experience and so important, so I am glad we get a lot of feedback about our performance. Sometimes the tests have been at the same time as when papers were do which made it hard for me to do my best on both. Overall, still adjusting to the school, but I feel excited about future classes and experiences."
