Georgetown University is located in a great area of Washington, D.C. that is secluded enough from the rest of the city to be safe but also easily accessible to the rest of DC. There is a great variety of things to do for college students.

Degree: Biology

The program offered great education and knowledge, as well as good opportunities for networking and connecting with other peers in the respective areas of interest. Nonetheless, depending on prior education, personal preference, and future directions, finding a job associated with the degree may be difficult, or may offer low salaries. Many students continue to pursue further graduate studies.

Georgetown's PR & Corporate Communications program offers a spectrum of courses to prepare students for a career in communication leadership positions. One reason I chose the program over other schools is that of its flexibility in course selection and time. I'm in the online program but have the option of taking in person classes since I live in D.C., which I hope to take advantage of it. The courses required for this program are also flexible: out of 10 classes, there are only 3 required core courses, and the other 7 can be selected from about 20 options. Another benefit of this program is the quality of the instructors and the subject matter and readings. Georgetown is a Jesuit school with strong commitments to Ethics, and one core course is Ethics in Public Relations (which is far more interesting than it sounds). One disadvantage of this program and many online programs is the impersonal nature with students and professors, but I think Georgetown and other schools are actively addressing that with more engagement opportunities and requirements.

My experience with the online IMC program at Georgetown University began in 2017, and has been tremendous thus far. Staff is readily available via phone or email and Jacky Yoo, the IMC program director, is both approachable and helpful. Before starting the program, two concerns were: the age of the IMC curriculum and missing face time with teachers and students due to online enrollment versus on-campus enrollment . After researching and interacting with some professors, there was no doubt that I would receive the necessary education to achieve my career goals. Teachers are seasoned veterans in their fields, and willing to give each student the attention needed to optimize their educational experience. Georgetown has also incorporated video conferencing, audio presentations, and active discussion boards that enable students to enjoy the flexibility of online learning while preserving the classroom experience. Though I am new to the program, I enjoy the learning experience. I find that what I'm learning has been beneficial in increasing my efficiency in the workplace. I am excited to continue this journey and attain my degree from a school that values and prioritizes its students academic and personal needs.

Georgetown University offers top quality Master's degree programs for working professionals. The MPRE program was integral in my movement into a management-level career. I was not impressed with the career advising services or the lack of graduate student scholarships offered by the university.

Georgetown is an outstanding university with brilliant faculty and students. I learned a lot and learned still how much more I did not know. I'd recommend the school to anyone.

Georgetown University was an great institution to obtain my Master's Degree. It actively assists in helping students obtain internships while completing the program. It is ranked not only national, but also globally in the Sports Industry Management Program, in which I was enrolled. Other programs are highly ranked as well. Loved my experience during my time there.
