Degree: Aerospace Engineering
Graduation Year: 2015

IIT is a great school for really technical fields such as engineering. Its not very well known all over, but its a rigorous university that is in one the best cities in the country, Chicago.

Degree: Landscape Design
Graduation Year: 2015

As a new program, the landscape architecture program is still working out it's bugs. But the professors are dedicated, working professionals, so the contacts you make, along with the skills you learn, are invaluable.

Degree: Computer Science
Graduation Year: 2015

My graduate program is very good. I like the environment of the school. Faculty is very helpful and also the Career Management Center. The only con is that since it is a private university the tuition rate is high and even an graduate assistant ship will not reduce it as it would in a state university.

Degree: Biology
Graduation Year: 2015

The staff at IIT are always willing to help. The classes are a good challenge. The main cons is the danger factor of the surrounding neighborhood.

Degree: Psychology
Graduation Year: 2018

The biggest con is the fact that there is not much funding, which makes me basically have to rely on student loans. On the plus side, the faculty is wonderful and very accessible. They are encouraging and help you achieve your goals. The education is very valuable and the experiences I am having go beyond the classroom.

Degree: Chemistry
Graduation Year: 2016

The pros of the graduate program: The analytical chemistry program is very helpful for those who already work in the science industry. The courses cover issues/topics that most of us will have to encounter at one point or another with instrumentation at work. The teachers give realistic deadlines for work and are always accessible by email. The cons of the graduate program: The cost. At $1100/credit, it is almost double what many other graduate programs cost.

Degree: Law
Graduation Year: 2016

Studying the law takes a lot of work, so although the work load seems immense it's necessary to fully grasp everything the law entails. The professor's make learning enjoyable and are very realistic about what we are able to complete and when. I haven't utilized the career services myself but it's my understanding that it is an extremely helpful source. When choosing a school obviously the money is a major factor, Kent was so helpful and accommodating to my needs in that regard. A con may be the competitiveness among students, however, Kent faculty recommends us working together; students being competitive hasn't been something I have experienced personally. The location is phenomenal, right by the train stations and multiple bus stops. Also, Kent is in the loop which is where the heart of Chicago's business is. Another con may be that coffee isn't free, but then again it is only $1!

Degree: Landscape Design
Graduation Year: 2016

The Masters of Landscape Architecture is a rigorous program that prepares students to face the challenges of working in today's ever-changing landscape. With the face of the planet irrevocably changed by humans, the issues that today's planner's and architects deal with have never been more important. IIT combines a prestigious history with a forward-thinking attitude.
