I have really enjoyed the Doctoral Program at Texas A & M Commerce. The program is online and is very accessible and easy to manage for the working student. Every class has one to two week sessions and in each class we interact with other students online in a discussion format. I am in my first year of the program and am really enjoying it!!

I am thrilled to be in an excellent program. I thoroughly enjoy my professors, their expedient answers to questions, and the course content. I am being prepared for my certification test and to be an excellent Library Media Specialist. There is not a lot of choices for financial aid for those of use in graduate school. However, they have a payment plan that helps during regular terms but not during the summer terms.

I love that the program is 30 credit hours instead of 36 like some other universities. The con is that it is a tough program to be completed in one year while working full time but that is just because it is thorough which, in the end, is really what you want.

Degree: Higher Education
Graduation Year: 2016

My graduate program experience has been absolutely amazing. I was very anxious, nervous and very scare, when I first started due to being the first in my family to attend grad school. I just did not want to let my family and more importantly myself down. But during this process the faculty and staff in the Higher Education Administration program have been there for me in every way. Directing me and responding to my every need, even though I sure did ask way to many questions. I have been very pleased with my experience and the understanding of my teachers in my first year.

I am currently working on my doctorate in counseling. This will complete my third degree from Texas A&M University@ Commerce. The faculty and staff have always been supportive and are "there" for their students. I would highly recommend this university to anyone.

The campus has grown and improved greatly over the years. I have had excellent professors and they are extremely accessible and helpful. The campus has new buildings that are great for student activities. They have also built new housing complexes. The campus is easy to navigate. There is no transportation available in Commerce. I have had a fabulous experience in undergraduate and graduate courses.

I really enjoy this graduate program and my professors are so helpful on a personal level. I don't feel like a number, I feel like a person who they are truly invested in.
