"My experience in the University of Texas at El Paso has been very positive. I came here to study a BFA and I continued with a MAIS because I was very happy here. The instructors, the students, and my bosses have been great and very supportive. I have had many instructors with a very high level of preparation. This university support Mexican students, the PASE program has helped many Mexicans to come to study here; it has permitted me to obtain my education in the United States. In general, my experience here has been very good, I would like to stay here in El Paso, but sadly, UTEP does not offer a MA in Art History, the degree that I am looking for."

"Our special education program for ESL or Bilingual Ed educators is excellent because of the vast exposure to our sister city, Juarez, MX. But the University does lack exposure to other kinds of cultures and diversity therefor the preparation to deal with such diversity in our own classrooms is not very effective."

"The pros are that the professors and the environment are really good. The program prepares the students with useful information that will help them in the future to get a job. The cons of the graduate program is that they do not provide financial help or guidelines to the students to pay for school."

"- Pros: My Graduate program hits one of the most demanded job position in industry: Software Engineering, Software Engineering is one hot job since 2008. My Graduate Program is about the core courses in Software Engineering and electives from Computer Science, it has flexibility to specialize in scientific topics or software management topics. UTEP is very supportive. - Cons: - At this moment the Master title is Master of Science in Engineering Software Engineering Track and not a Master of Science in Software Engineering. - Since it is a relatively new Master program in UTEP, it needs more support from Computer Science."

"The department should have higher standards for people who are current and future educators. Other graduate programs at this school would be wonderful examples of the high standards we should be holding teachers to."

"In my opinion, the graduate program has highly qualified teachers to teach the content area they are specialist. In this program, teachers always have in mind how to challenge their students in their assignments to help them to improve their knowledge through meaningful and real life assignments. Additionally, the teachers in this program are friendly and sensitive persons, qualities that make them to trust their teachers. As a result, the students work in a peaceful and relax environment (even though the students take on line classes). My rating for the Graduate Program is Excellent, it deserves a 10."

"The Ph. D program from University of Texas at el Paso, is growing that is why I graded with most of the stars, it is trying to become a tier 1 research university, and the quality of faculty members is improving every semester. Most of the students are mexican-american, but you can find people from all the world. Furthermore, the tuition rates are not elevate so that financial aid, can help with most of it."
