The University of Chicago's Booth School of Business is an outstanding academic institution that diligently works to prepare students intellectually and for their future careers. From an academic standpoint, they have a very structured curriculum that navigates students through the core financial courses and ultimately allows them to choose different areas of focus in areas such as Entrepreneurship, Finance, Analytics, and Design. This flexibility in the curriculum is unique to Booth, as the school offers the most flexibility of any top tier business school in the country. The school's finance and economic's professors are also arguably the top in the country, as the school has won over a dozen Nobel prizes in these areas. Furthermore, their entrepreneurial course work is complemented by the school's in house incubator program, the New Venture Challenge, which is the top ranked college incubator program in the United States. In regards to preparing it's students for careers outside of business school, Booth has a very structured program for aiding students in the career discovery process, application process, and with their interview preparation. Their Career Service group is a dedicated staff of 12 people that are always available to answer question regarding recruiting into different industries, and they specialize in aiding students break into Management Consulting, Corporate Strategy, Investing Banking, and Technology firms. In conclusion, Booth stands as a shining example of the potential for academics to not only stimulate the intellectual capacity of it's students but also to prepare them for meaningful and rewarding careers outside of school.

Booth was an exceptional place to get an MBA. In addition to rigorous analytical curriculum work in the classroom, the Booth network has proven extremely valuable and the Booth name on a resume is well respected.

By far one of the best MBA programs, if not outright the best. I am very glad to have been accepted, and very happy to study here.

It's a very pricey program, but the quality of education is top notch. The school is known for its career services office, which works extremely hard to get jobs with competitive salaries for students.

I do not feel that the University of Chicago carries any cons to the Executive MBA program present by the world renown Booth School of Business. However, the pros are that the Booth Executive Program has the average class size of 90 students per campus, the average age of 37, and the average work experience of 12 years. Broken down in groups, small teams are comprised of 5-7 students throughout the entire cohort program that will not trigger any symptoms as I continue with therapy. My attributes are the age of 35 and 14.5 years of active duty military service with 13 years of dynamic Leadership roles. The instructors are paragon in nature that consists of six current Noble Prize winners. The students are highly intelligent and intuitive people with more than a decade of work experience that sets a stage for all students to learn from one another in a safe educational milieu. The alumni network is immensely powerful. The knowledge is powerful. The focus on learning the core concepts of economics and finance is more rigorous at Chicago than any other program I could find. Booth is also excited to support the veteran education initiative and have me their Executive Program. They are very interested in the experience, background and skill set that my military and government background brings to their program, setting new standards for leadership. The administration was extremely receptive, already familiar with my resume before my initial meeting and immediately connected me with alumni and other veteran connections. No other school offered this level of attention. Throughout the application process, their enthusiasm and attentiveness has only increased. They have worked extremely hard to match my strengths and similarities among other students and ensure I am connected with a network that I can identify with based on my background and experience in order to offer more support for anything I may need. It is important to note that I have been accepted to the XP-85 program this year, 2014, but unfortunately had no other choice but to defer enrollment due to lack of finances. I am spending this deferred year to gather finances and study business topics to aid in the success of the EMBA program this upcoming year, 2015

The part-time program allows you to work and study with amazing Booth professors and students. It is a lot of work and very expensive, but the quality of the education is great and the people are very smart and focused. It is also a very fun time.

I am in the Weekend MBA program and I absolutely love the flexibility that Booth provides. I am able to tailor my schedule to balance out with my work workload. The teachers are fantastic and within the first class you can tell how passionate they are about their subjects. There are a lot of social events for weekend students, so I don't feel like I am missing out on the social component of getting an MBA. I think the biggest con is not necessarily a reflection on Booth, but on Weekend programs in general. It is just a lot of work to balance school and work. Fortunately I feel like what I am learning at Booth is so applicable to my job that I know I made the right choice.
