The University of Illinois at Chicago MBA program allows for the maximum flexibility for students that require the ability to transition between full time and par time status. In addition the Technology Ventures is a Nationally ranked Entrepreneurship program.

I like how the classes are set up as discussions of what we are learning. It gives us a chance to take our book knowledge and see how it applies to the real world in our field. There are a lot of great students who are working in this are already and they have an ability to share a deeper insight than the class alone can offer. The distance learning portion can sometimes make it difficult to take full advantage of how to share information with our peers.

I think the school does an excellent job making students feel valued and appreciated. The administration knows how important producing high-caliber students are and it wants its students to be happy. I know I am happy with UIC so far.

Obviously, any MD program is tough but will prepare you to be a good doctor. Although it's not a top 10 MD program, U of I has a great reputation. The Urbana campus of U of I Medicine is a little-known gem. There is great community and opportunitites here in the Urbana campus.

Degree: Sociology
Graduation Year: 2017

All admitted graduate students are funded, admittedly at a really low basis (survival), but it does good to the atmosphere. Faculty differ a lot, so your experience will depend on what you're trying to do.
