Student & Graduate Reviews

Degree: Communications
Graduation Year: 2017

It's a great program that offers a lot of networking opportunities considering the pool of various nationalities studying together. The faculty is very supportive and good infrastructure is in place as well but a few things like cost of living and transportation are a bit challenging.

Degree: Political Science
Graduation Year: 2004

Ohio University in Athens, OH, has a superb Political Science Graduate Program. The instructors are educated and experienced in their areas of Political Science. The instructors want you too succeed and are always available by email, phone, or in person. This program offers interesting classes with real life meanings. I am a better political scientist because of Ohio University.

Degree: Biology
Graduation Year: 2016

I am a student at Ohio University Online. I am pursuing a degree in Biology/Psychology While I have found. I have found most of the classes to be highly educational, and the professors helpful. I do find the price tag a bit steep and somewhat confusing (each campus has varied pricing, and the online classes a based at several different locations). I also find the support somewhat lacking, as it is often difficult to reach my advisor.

Degree: Healthcare Administration
Graduation Year: 2017

So far the Ohio University MHA program has demonstrated excellent support for the graduate student, classes are structured in a way that is conducive to students who work full-time in their existing careers.

Degree: Counseling Psychology
Graduation Year: 2016

I love Ohio University, I received my undergraduate degree here and stayed for a graduate degree. The education is top notch, the president of the University is kind of a dick, but he's never around any way so it doesn't matter. My professor in both undergrad and graduate school have been wonderful and inspiring. I've learned two languages, learned how to understand the deeper meaning of Shakespeare, had my eyes opened to the world of women's history and had a GREAT time at the local brewery. Athens and OU is my home now and I can't imagine being anywhere else.

Degree: Sports Management
Graduation Year: 2016

My experience in this graduate program has been one of the busiest times of my life, but I wouldn't trade my experiences for anything. The academics, practical experience, and alumni network are second to none. It is clear why this program is ranked #1 in the United States for the Master's of Sports Administration degree. The professors truly care about you as a person and about your future in the field. I have no doubt that being a student in this program will continue to pay dividends for me throughout my career, and the friends and contacts I have made will last a lifetime!

Degree: Biology
Graduation Year: 2016

The graduate program for Exercise Physiology is an intense, comprehensive, fast-paced program that prepares its students for the quickly expanding field of health and fitness promotion. The faculty are resourceful and generous with their time and knowledge. Hands-on experience is guaranteed from day one. Graduate assistantships are readily available to help offset the tuition cost. Courses are pertinent and geared towards preparing the student for a vast range of career options within the field of Exercise Physiology. Small class sizes provide an ideal setting for optimum learning. A great program with fantastic professors, classmates, and comprehensive academics!

I am extremely impressed with the Online environment at Ohio University. They have set up a easy to use system that promotes active involvement with my fellow classmates. While I am just starting my Graduate Degree, I am positive that the support I will receive from the school will be top notch.
