"This is a great department, and everyone is really friendly and helpful. The grad students are a closely knit group, and the majority of the faculty are very approachable. Chapel Hill has a free bus system which is awesome, although sometimes it feels a bit like a college town and you're likely to run into your students if you go out on Franklin Street. Raleigh and Durham aren't that far away, though, and there's plenty of things to do. The one thing I don't like financially is that we have to pay our own fees (which are a bit expensive, probably from all the sports), but TAships are easy to get and let you live fairly comfortably."

"Too many classes not enough time. This program offers so many classes that I wish I could take without going over the required credit hours. The professors are easy to work with. Grading can be subjective at times. Overall I have a good feeling about this program. I can't wait till I have some practical appilcation"

"The MBA program at UNC has many talented students from around the world. One of the greatest benefits of being a student here is the ability to learn from so many intelligent classmates."

"Obtaining a UNC Law degree is very useful, even if you do not intend on becoming an actual attorney. Unfortunately though, the law school is very isolated from the other graduate schools and the undergraduate university itself. If you are interested in public service, UNC Law is definitely a good choice for you. Another positive about UNC-CH is the relative closeness of the other law schools in the state, as well as general division 1 universities in the Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill area."

"UNC Law is a great place to consider attending law school--the faculty are knowledgeable, the law school has a strong reputation, and environment is collaborative and not overly competitive."

"The department is very tight-knit and committed to helping their graduate students succeed. They are up-to-speed on trends in scholarship and the tools that students need to be successful NOW and in five years, not 20 years ago, like so many places."

"UNC Law has been great--I feel valued as a person by the faculty and the administration, and UNC's teaching faculty is amazing--not just high caliber is academic scholarship, but very supportive and encouraging. The law school community is also just great--you can find a group of people who have the same interests as you, and the general attitude is one of acceptance and camaraderie (rather than the "ruthless competitiveness" you hear about in other schools). Further, Chapel Hill is just a great town to live in or live by. The main campus is beautiful, and there are tons of cultural events and speakers all the time. I particularly love Carrboro, the town next to Chapel Hill where many grad students live. It was easy to find a place that I love in biking distance of the law school."

"Not too competitive but there are always a few gunners. Workload is usually manageable, though taking on extracurriculars will put you in a time crunch. Quality, passionate instructors and alumni frequently come by for events and networking. The town is okay, but small."

"After the core classes, it is very easy to coast through the rest of the program if you so choose. That being said, there are also plenty of students who opt for the very demanding courses and overload."

"As with any top MBA program the workload is high and a lot is expected of students especially during the core semesters. However, the use of technology, genuinely involved and approachable faculty and an efficient career management center make the process a lot less daunting. Chapel Hill houses a vibrant community and there is always something fun going on. From sports to art, there is always something to fill your social calendar with. The diversity of the graduate program also enhances the flavor of the community."

"KFBS is great-- but it is hard work! The area, the network and the people are wonderful. However, it can be difficult to juggle all of the deliverables and responsibilities in the core curriculum."

"The experience of the Kenan-Flagler MBA is great. The use of technology used by the program is amazing. I have never heard of another MBA school with the technology uses as they do. There is a limited amount of support with financial aid due to the lack of aid available for graduate students. Overall, I would recommend the MBA@UNC program to anyone."

"One of the biggest pros about my graduate program at UNC Chapel Hill is the fact that it has a prestigious reputation and looks great on resumes. The faculty and staff are knowledgeable and always willing to help their students. Graduate students also gain valuable real-world experience during our various practicum placements, which is an important pro of this program. However, the program seems to lack diversity at times, which can be considered a con."

"I really think that I could not have made a better decision in picking my graduate program. The quality of life for a student is actually pretty great which was a top priority of mine as well as diversity and UNC-CH delivered pretty well on both aspects. The cost of attendance is very affordable for a medical school level."
