"UNC provides a world class education at an extremely affordable price. The reputation of the law school program is unmatched in North Carolina and allows students to compete with other academic institutions that are highly respected, such as Duke University. There is a strong sense of community and the faculty is willing to work with students and support them in any way possible to ensure their continued success."

"I am in the Transatlantic Masters Program at Chapel Hill which is perfect for me! It allows students to study in Europe for 2-3 semesters while still gaining a UNC degree. This program is challenging and rewarding, and I've been introduced to many of our alumni network which has proved incredibly helpful in finding internships and presumably jobs after I graduate."

"The program is competitive and the subject matter is comprehensive and well-rounded. The school includes issues of diversity within the classes and provides an open environment for honest and difficult discussions. The staff and faculty are knowledgeable about the subject matter and are open and available for students, when needed."

"Pros - collaborative student body, engaged faculty, great alumni network Cons - not a core school for some employers, but enough employers come to campus, so it is not a major issue."

"UNC School of Social Work offers a wide variety of academic and professional development opportunities. The staff and faculty encourage evidence-based practices while challenging students to explore new initiatives that work to solve systemic problems and empower clients to advocate for better livelihoods. The faculty is comprised of some of the best practitioners in the field. Professors are willing to engage students within and beyond the classroom. Clinical lecture series provide avenues for students to learn current practices and network with other professional disciplines. It is a rigorous program, but students create a compassionate and supportive atmosphere. Self-care is not only emphasized, but also practiced. I do not live in Chapel Hill, so my only complaint is transportation and parking."

"The PhD in biological and biomedical science program at UNC-Chapel Hill is great. The school is highly ranked and the professors are some of the best in the nation. Graduate students are provided with a monthly stipend and health insurance which sufficiently covers the cost of living in Chapel Hill. Exploring alternative career options are the responsibility of the student. Faculty support throughout the program was great. Collaborations between other universities and pharmaceutical companies in the are made it an ideal environment for completing a PhD in biomedical science. I am confident that the alumni network and relationships already developed will be beneficial for the future."

"The Kenan Flagler EMBA program has so many positives. The program is challenging, enriching, and such a valuable experience. The services and amenities are impeccable! The schedule is a little overwhelming at times, but I guess that is one thing that attributes to the world class quality of the program. If I could change one thing, it would be to remove the occasional Sunday classes. However, anyone that is considering a top notch MBA program should look at Kenan Flagler Business School."

"After exploring the area, I was pleasantly surprised that there was plenty to do outside of school. The faculty are wonderful and are there to help you achieve what you aim for. And, there are lots of programs to support students in preparation for life after grad school."

"The coursework isn't that bad and leaves a significant amount of room for you to pick and choose which classes you want to take. The biggest pro/con is that many PIs will let you go at your own speed, which could be too much or too little depending on your personality. I would recommend my program to anyone. I think everyone helps each other out."

"I love the people in the department, the problem is with the school at large and the field of linguistics. Since it is a smaller department it is not well funded, nor is it capable of exploring multiple branches of the field."

"I went to college to learn how to function as an adult, and to expand my knowledge of the world. I did that, to a greater degree than I could have ever hoped. I never intended to use my undergrad degree to find a career, so my experience has served me perfectly. My degree has been most helpful to my career because it exists. The subject of my degree has no impact on my job, but being a college graduate has allowed me keep my job as a government contractor when other, more experienced coworkers without degrees didn't. That said, I would not have had the confidence or ability to get or do my job if I hadn't gotten my degree. The skills I learned help me navigate the real world. I also didn't take as much advantage of the academic and career counseling options in school as I should have. Take advantage of the resources at the school to maximize your likelihood to get a job."
