"Pros - Strong international focus and study abroad opportunities, dedicated faculty Cons - Feels isolated from St Louis, lacking diversity (of all kinds - age, race, experience) in student body"

"The program is second to none. There are amazing professors and a lot of support with practicums and job placement. However, it is extremely expensive to go to this school. Although they do give scholarships, compared to how expensive the tuition is, the scholarships barely leave a dent in how much a student owes."

"Incredible institution with incredible levels of collaboration between labs, great support provided by faculty, mentors, and program coordinators, and a variety of easily accessed core facilities / specialized equipment / etc. The university provides a competitive stipend to graduate students, while local housing is relatively inexpensive, allowing for a great overall standard of living."

"Washington University's interdisciplinary program is great for student who wants to practice wide arrange of art mediums. The faculty and university resources are great. The living expense is very affordable and the city has a great art museum. Still the city is not very safe and location wise, you're stuck in the middle of Midwest."

"Pros: Quality education with professors who are constantly doing new research. So many opportunities available to volunteer and work in any area that interests you. Cons: It's expensive and the surrounding area isn't great but it's not terrible either, crime-wise."

"Come here if you are okay with just finishing up the program as soon as possible but don't want to settle down. No social life. Hard to survive the city (if St. Louis counts as one) if you don't have a car."

"This small program has lots of opportunities to stand out and form relationships, both in the department and around campus. The down side is you will take seminars with undergraduates and not have as many classes focused on your area of study."

"The OT graduate program on a whole is a disappointment. The faculty are clueless and the reputation of the program is over-inflated."

"Fellow students are generally self-motivated. Art, History, and Science Museums, Zoo, Theatre (to name a few) are all free to the public. Forest park is great, as are the several other parks in the area. The faculty are all highly qualified, practicing artists who seem interested in helping students progress, but there is something of a disconnect in terms of communication between faculty members, as well as between the administration and the students. I would have preferred if the graduate studios were not off campus. If they were on the main campus my "Campus Safety" rating would be higher. The studio facilities aren't bad, per se, but they're a bit run down and the lighting can be poor, if that matters to you."
