Student & Graduate Reviews

Degree: Social Sciences
Graduation Year: 2015

My program is the College Student Affairs master's under the School of Humanities and Social Sciences. I love the opportunity to take my courses both online and residentially depending on what I have going on in my life. I also enjoy the faculty as they are experts in their field not only with the educational background but experience in the field as well. I am also enjoying the South Florida living and the beauty of the campus. I also did not need to take the GRE to be admitted, so that was a huge motivational factor!

Good EDD program, however it needs to be more conducive to working class.

Degree: Accounting
Graduation Year: 2015

The Accounting Master's Program has been a positive experience thus far. I am very appreciative of the availability of the professors and the flexibility that the online program affords me.

Degree: Psychology
Graduation Year: 2018

Nova Southeastern University has been the best decision I could make in completing my doctorate. The faculty in the program are very supportive and hands on in their teaching approach. The work load is reasonable and assistance is readily available. The campus is very clean and beautiful. Cons associated with attending Nova solely fall under the cost to attend the institution. As a doctoral student in the Psy. D program, it is very expensive and financial assistance (aside from loans) are hard to secure. Another con to the doctoral program is the small amount of classes the institution is willing to take from students coming into the program with a Master's level degree in a directly related field.

Degree: Law
Graduation Year: 2016

Nova Southeastern University's Law program provides a lot of support for its incoming students. The professors have an open door policy which they do adhere to. The school is also very good with informing its students as too available networking opportunities both on and off campus. The cons of this school like most graduate programs is that it is very expensive and the school does not offer much in the way of scholarships and grants for its students.

Degree: Dentistry
Graduation Year: 2018

Nova has an excellent dental program. The quality of education, the accessibility of the faculty and the intensity of the program make students graduate as competent professional dentists. Undoubtedly, Nova Southeastern University is a great school.

Degree: School Counseling
Graduation Year: 2016

My particular program is "weekend intensive" meaning that i attend classes one weekend per month on a schedule that is as follows: Fri- 6-10 Sat 9-6 and Sun 9-5:30. There are assignments that are sometimes due between the class meeting times and of course many readings but I do like this. This gives me the in person instruction that i prefer over online while still allowing me to work full time to take care of myself financially. the class sizes are very intimate in my program and we operate within a cohort so I have the same classmates throughout the entire program. School counseling is a steadily growing field and I can tell my professors really love the field. The only thing I miss is not really getting the on campus feel and having that sense of connection to the university since classes are only one weekend a month but the education being provided is wonderful!

Degree: Business
Graduation Year: 2015

I am very satisfied with the program as a whole. Nova is an excellent school where the students can get to know people from all over the world and exchange experiences.

Degree: Psychology
Graduation Year: 2014

A great stepping stone for psychology students who are interested in research in the field.

Degree: Education
Graduation Year: 2017

This graduate program is offered fully online (except for the final practicum), which is essential for a student in my position, as our family moves internationally every 2-5 years & as a result, I cannot complete a traditional, on-campus degree. The university, however, does not have heavy name recognition & is mistakenly often lumped together with for-profit institutions, even though it is a regionally accredited non-profit school. Tuition is high, but lower than many other private schools offering similar degree programs. The curriculum is rigorous & the faculty/staff are engaged & responsive.
